Pre-connect leader lines on truck load is an easier way to perform this evolution. Laredo engines assgined to housing areas have a divided hose load with one section having a precoonect 2 1/2 inch hose and the other with pre-connected leader lines on a reverse lay ( dropping 150 feet by the fire and driving to the hydrant). The video is well moderated by all means but equipment improvement like air pack build in the seats are helpful and save time and firefighters exhaustion. Providing firefighters with top of the line equipment is cost saving at the end of the day.
